Workbench Miniatures Goes Digital!

Books and magazines to be offered in downloadable form...

Hi everyone.

Now that the first issue of my magazine has sold out, I have been asked about the possibility of digital editions being made available. Though I can't say too much at the moment, I am in the process of making this so. I hope to be able to offer a digital version of Issue 1 which, for those that missed it, will be the only way that you can get hold of this magazine as I have decided not to reprint it in paper form. I also hope to be able to sell digital versions of subsequent issues too which will offer a degree of choice  and longevity to each one: you'll still be able to buy a paper magazine, but once they too are sold out, you will still be able to see what's offer offer, albeit in digital format. I will also be offering my previous two books "The Garden Of Remembrance" and "One Man's Junk" for those who missed out the first time around.

I will be posting more information on this exciting development when I have it and when I am able to provide more definite dates and costings.

All the best and thanks a lot!

Reservations For Issue 2 Now Being Taken...

As it would appear that I'm now on my way to getting Issue 2 designed and modellers both on here and on my Facebook page are starting to make reservations, I think that it is worth repeating the system from last year, whereby I ask for those interested in the next issue to do so either here or via email (spencer.pollard@btinternet.com) so that I can place you on the list ready for payment to be made when the magazine comes back from the printers. I will then either be able to send you copy out via the post, or you will be able to collect it from me at the Milton Keynes and Telford shows.

So if you do want a copy reserved, please let me know and I'll add you to the list.

Thanks a lot!

Issue 2 - Contents...

I can now reveal the builds that will feature in the next issue of CWAM. As with the first edition, I have been very fortunate in being able to draw together some wonderful models from some amazing modellers. As you can see they cover a wide spectrum of subjects, all of which are inspiring, not just if you want to build the kits featured, but also if you want to build the same subjects, but from other kits that may be available.

The List is as follows:

Spencer Pollard - Great Wall Hobby 1/48 MiG-29
Haris Ali - Great Wall Hobby 1/144 Vulcan
Dean Large - Dragon/Cyberhobby 1/200 Vulcan
Daniel Zamarbide - Trumpeter 1/32 MiG-21 F13
Iain Ogilvie - ZM 1/32 A-1 Skyraider

Cold War Aircraft Modeller - Front Cover for Issue 2 Revealed!

Now that I have some of my day job put to bed, I can begin work on the next issue and reveal what I think the cover will look like. As you can see, I'm following the look of the first issue - I hope that you all approve! This new issue will be just as packed as the first and I hope to have it ready to go by the middle of February.

Haris Ali's stunning rendition of the Great Wall Hobby Vulcan takes pride of place on this month's cover, as does my build of their astonishing MiG-29 - both of which will be looked at it detail....
